This event will be the 32nd year Café Gulistan has celebrated Newroz with the Southwest Michigan community.

Observed on the spring equinox, Newroz marks the Kurdish New Year and symbolizes renewal, hope and freedom.

Ibrahim Parlak’s daughter, Livia Gazzolo will perform with her Chicago-based band featuring piano, bass, oud and drums.

The performance will also mark the release of her new single, “Enchant the Wind (Algiers / Rabe Lawo).”
